Chapter 1 Part 6 Krenshawz McRoddon and Lero parted at the hotel some Krenshawz government personnel secured for the Deimos crew. Called The Crown Haven. The building rose 20 stories and was made of a bright blue colored stone. Numerous flags fluttered from angled poles above the entrance. Lero was escorted by a clerk to his room on the 20th floor. One of the marines stood outside his door. He saw two others outside what Lero assumed were the Count’s and XO’s rooms. The marine salutes Lero, who returned it. The room was decorated in a gaudy array of bas-relief landscapes and cityscapes. One featured a tall central figure in what looked to be the High Court of Appeals President Morrissy had pointed out earlier that day. The figure was surrounded by prostrate people. Lero guessed it was some historical representation. The commander

Chapter 1 Part 5 Krenshawz Scene in government hall begins: we have 2 days to RP with each other and the Krenshawz delegation. This is the first round of negotiations, feeling out what each side wants, needs, etc. The Krenshawz delegation sits in a semicircle at an elegant, dark wood table with a high gloss sheen. Lero can see the rankings of importance by the height of the people. Despite being tall for a Krenshawz, Premier Norman sits only slightly higher than Morrissy, for the seats have been set at specific levels. It gives the Krenshawz delegation an odd appearance...a perfect and even dropping of height from Norman to the various secretaries of the government agencies. The aides who set up the seating for Lero, the count, and the XO apologize profusely for not knowing their height or rank. Lero accepts their apology and sits down. Glasses of water and what looks to be a t

Note, we made an adjustment in how we're doing scenes because the three of us playing realized we wanted to advance the story more quickly. Hence, we're inserting "start of scene" lines, with a timeline to finish the role-play along with the basic goal or tone or idea of the scene. You'll see those represented here. Chapter 1 Part 4 Krenshawz Lero watches as the Count approaches the President, who takes two steps forward to greet him. The commander also sees a frown—small and quick—creep across the face of Premier Norman. The Count steps back and waves his hand at Lero, who steps forward and smiles. Morrissy bows slightly but keeps eye contact. Lero returns the bow, noticing her eyes are colored green with flecks of silver. Morrissy says, “We, the people of Krenshawz welcome you and your crew.” Lero, following the advice of Hertwig, says,  “We thank you for you

Putting a female to take care of all the administrative functions is a wise move. I would be interested to hear what Lero thinks about it. Male humans rarely react positively to strong female figures." "This is Count Hertwig aboard the INS Deimos, ambassador for our Imperial Majesty Strephon Aella Alkhalikoi. We are on a diplomatic mission and we come in peace. It is a pleasure to speak with you President Morrissy. We would be honored to meet personally with someone of your stature, and discuss how can the Imperium and the great Republic of Krenshawz can work together for our mutual benefit. Does this request seem reasonable to you as representative of the Krenshawz people?" Hertwig signaled the XO to mute the communication briefly. The Count was start

Chapter 1 Part 2 Krenshawz Zernov closes his station down and glances to make sure the others log out of the workstations before leaving.  These officers are making it easy now, I'm going to have to jump on slips before they turn into bigger problems.  He rises and follows Perez and Herrera into the briefing room. He keys the table to display the local system, tagging key points of interest. Zernov pores himself and the commander a coffee. As Lera Chapman, aide to the Count, approaches he sets out another cup for her and heads to sit next to the commander's chair around the display. Lero strides into the briefing.  While he's always loved the captain's chair and the bridge, the briefing room is where he has always felt most comfortable. A fan of the chain of command, he nonetheless likes the more academic approach he has fostered in the briefing room. The bridge was t
